Any of you photographers out there struggling with reschedule after reschedule due to rain?? I have had a maternity momma who’ve I’ve been rebooking for 3 Wednesdays in a row. Now we are onto mother natures game and steer clear of all the days of the week that start with W…so we’ll see what next week brings! Getting back to business, Bennett is 6 MONTHS. Seriously, I don’t even know where time goes! About 75% of my newborns I photograph invest in the Grow with Me package because not only is it a great deal but it gives baby an opportunity to visit the studio for 3 sessions of your choice. The most common sessions are for milestones newborn, 6 mo. & 1 year! It seems like we were just doing this little dudes newborn photos and boy oh boy does the session pace change from one to the next.
At newborn sessions mom and dad are whispering and tiptoeing around the studio for 3 hours…and by six months it’s crazy airplane rides in the sky, tickling, jumping, peek-a-boo, singing, & etc, anything to catch their attention and entertain while they sit in one spot for the 30 minutes they allow us…and then there’s the 1 year. We don’t even worry about the noises because we just spend our time on the RUN.
After I get done shooting milestone sessions I always find myself driving back home reminiscing about what life with my Braxton was like at that age. That’s one of the greatest perks of my job, I get the privelage to give these family’s memories of the time and place that their own kids are at to cherish forever. When I was editing this photo below my heart was blowing up, the way he looks up to mom with such amazement like she is the best person in the world. Little moments like this makes all the late night feedings, trips to the Dr’s office from ear infection for the 3rd time in a month, and 10,000 dirty diapers later worth every.single.second! Bennett loves splashing and kicking in the tub, chattering to anyone who gives him attention (don’t blame ya kid, I love that too!), rolling, and baby food. Noted: He will eat but has to feed himself. SUCH an in·de·pend·ent big boy!
Thanks Kleindl Fam!
